Fr. Herminio Quimpo Felipe, Jr. (“Fr. Jun”)

Rev. Fr. Herminio Quimpo Felipe, Jr., affectionately known as Fr. Jun, has faithfully served the Church for nearly three decades. Born in Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines, he is the son of the late Herminio C. Felipe, Sr. and Ely T. Quimpo. He was baptized at St. John the Baptist Cathedral Parish on September 13, 1969.

Responding to God's call to the priesthood, Fr. Jun completed his philosophical studies at St. Pius X Seminary and earned a Bachelor in Sacred Theology from St. Joseph Regional Seminary. He was ordained to the Diaconate on March 25, 1996, by Most Rev. Alberto J. Piamonte and to the Sacred Priesthood on October 28, 1996, by Most Rev. Gabriel V. Reyes.

Committed to lifelong learning, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Aklan Catholic College and a Master in Cultural Heritage Studies from University of Santo Tomas.

Throughout his priestly ministry, Fr. Jun has served in various pastoral, educational, and diocesan roles, including Secretary to the Bishop of Kalibo, Spiritual Director of Sto. Niño Seminary, Spiritual Director at the University of Santo Tomas, College Chaplain of Aklan Catholic College, member of the Team Ministry of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish, and Parish Priest of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Malinao, Aklan. 

In 2024, Fr. Jun began his ministry in the Diocese of Richmond as Parochial Vicar at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and later served the Cluster Parishes of Portsmouth and Chesapeake. Effective July 1, 2026, he will begin his new assignment as Parochial Vicar of Church of the Incarnation and Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Known for his warm personality, deep spirituality, and genuine concern for others, Fr. Jun continues to inspire the faithful through his dedicated service. His priestly life reflects a steadfast commitment to Christ, the Church, and the mission of bringing others closer to God through faith, hope, and charity.
