Hiromi Calderon was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and grew up in Charlottesville, where her family has attended and served at Church of the Incarnation since 2006. Her father is from Mexico, and her mother is from Peru. She has two siblings and a five-year-old son, whom she plans to homeschool.

Hiromi is actively involved in parish life as a leader of Jóvenes Contracorriente and as a guitarist and cantor for the 7 AM Spanish Mass. She is grateful for the role faith and community have played in her life. She is also a self-employed photographer through her family’s photography business. 

She earned Associate degrees in Music and Education from Piedmont Virginia Community College and is currently attending James Madison University, majoring in Art with a concentration in Photography and minors in Business Spanish and Christian Studies.

In her free time, she enjoys dancing, building Legos, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

Hiromi Calderon nació en Norfolk, Virginia, y creció en Charlottesville, donde su familia ha asistido y servido en la Iglesia de la Encarnación desde el 2006. Su papá es de México y su mamá de Perú. Tiene dos hermanos y un hijo de cinco años, a quien planea educar en casa.

Hiromi participa activamente en la vida parroquial como líder de Jóvenes Contracorriente y como guitarrista y cantora en la Misa de 7 AM en español. Está agradecida por el papel que la fe y la comunidad han tenido en su vida. También trabaja como fotógrafa independiente en el negocio familiar de fotografía.

Estudió Música y Educación en Piedmont Virginia Community College y actualmente estudia en James Madison University, especializándose en Arte con concentración en Fotografía y subconcentraciones en Español de Negocios y Estudios Cristianos.

En su tiempo libre, disfruta bailar, armar Legos, tomar fotos y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos.
