Missy was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and spent nine years working as a software engineer before transitioning to ministry.
Throughout her time in the Diocese of Richmond, she has served as a Youth Minister, Coordinator for the Diocesan WorkCamp, and Coordinator of Children's Christian Formation. As Pastoral Associate at Incarnation, she oversees the formation program for elementary-aged students and their families, manages volunteer safe environment compliance through the VIRTUS program, coordinates Facilities Usage agreements, and assembles the parish's weekly Flocknote email. She is also leading new initiatives focused on parishioner engagement and retention, and specialized programming to support faith formation across the parish community.
Missy and her husband, Jason, have three children—Geoffrey, Jacob, and Katie. Their family has been part of the Incarnation parish community since 2014. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering at her childrens’ schools, baking, cheering on Virginia Tech athletics, and spending time with family and friends.
