Youth Ministry
My goal as Youth Minister is to bring kids closer to Jesus. I try my best to meet kids at their level, regardless of where that is, and to draw them closer to Christ, and to His Church. I have many opportunities for youth to get involved, and for young adults and parents to help serve them.

Middle School
All middle school youth attend Catechesis under the Christian Formation program. The Youth Ministry Program supplements this teaching with other social and faith based events that will deepen the faith of those that are involved.
Middle School Ministry Team: This team will assist in planning and executing a monthly Middle School Night. The night will involve games, skits, and a short talk. All young adults, parents, and teens in Grade 11 & 12 are invited to serve on this team.
Grades 9 & 10
Grade 9 & 10 teens enter a religious education program called “Remix” that combines the Christian Formation Team and the Youth Ministry Program. This community will pass on the traditions and beliefs of the Church through engaging and fun activities and teaching. Additional social events will take place periodically to help build community among the teens.
Catechist: If you’re interested in helping teach the youth about their faith please consider joining the group of Catechists that run this weekly program. Commitment: Two hours each Sunday from 5:30-7:30pm.
Grades 11 & 12
All students in Grades 11 & 12 are encouraged to join a small group. Small groups meet monthly outside of the church at parishioners homes, coffee shops, or any area the group chooses. Groups discuss their faith and support each other in community.
Small Group Leader: Each small group has two adult leaders. This is a wonderful and very rewarding ministry. If interested contact the Youth Ministry Office. The schedule is flexible.
Confirmation Program
In their Sophmore year in High School youth have the option of being confirmed into the Catholic Church. Participants attend a retreat and four large group sessons that teach the beliefs of the Catholic Church in preparation for this sacrament. Details of this program can be found on the Youth Ministry section of the Parish Website.
Ways for Youth to Serve
Youth Liturgical Ministries: There are a variety of ways youth can serve during the Sunday evening liturgy. Grades 4 and up can serve as Bookbearers. Grades 6 and up can serve as Crossbearers. Grades 11 & 12 can serve as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic and Proclaimers of the Word. All ages are invited to serve as Greeters. These are all very important ministries and we would like to have many youth involved!
Youth Band: If you play an instrument and are a middle school or high school student we would love to have you join the Youth Band. The band practices from 3:00-4:30pm every Sunday in preparation for the 4:30pm Mass.
Antioch Team: Antioch is a yearly retreat lead by 11th & 12th Grade students for 9th & 10th Graders to attend. The retreat is very popular and involves a series of talks about our Catholic faith, as well as time for games, music, and more. If you are an 11th or 12th Grade student, and you would like to be a part of the Antioch Team, there is an application process that takes place in the spring. The Anticoh Team meets Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm for nine sessions between October-March. Contact the Youth Ministry Office.
