OVERVIEW
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation happens during a student’s sophomore year in high school in the Diocese of Richmond. A student wishing to be Confirmed must be enrolled in a faith formation program, which at Incarnation is Life Teen. The student must also participate in the Confirmation preparation curriculum, which is separate and distinct from Life Teen (see details below).

Participation in the Confirmation preparation program
–Sunday, October 20, 7:30-8:00 pm for students and parents
–Sunday, December 1, 2:30-7:30 pm (including Mass and dinner)
–Sunday, January 26, 2:30-7:30 pm (including Mass and dinner)
–Sunday, March 2, 2:30-7:30 pm (including Mass and dinner)
–Sunday, April 6, 2:30-7:30 pm (including Mass and dinner)
Completion of the Sponsor Commitment by the student’s sponsor
–Due by Sunday, October 20
Confirmation Retreat
–Friday-Sunday, November 15-17, Grace Bible Camp
Participation in the Easter Triduum (with sponsor)
–Holy Thursday: April 17, 7:30 pm (arrive at 7:00 pm to help)
–Good Friday: April 18, 7:30 pm
–Easter Vigil: April 19, 8:00 pm
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confirmation Rehearsal (with sponsor or proxy)
–TBA, typically held a few days before Confirmation
Confirmation Ceremony (with sponsor or proxy)
